CULLMAN – Amy Martinez and Rita Fromhold have been busy at Cullman Elite Realty.  By Martinez's account, they "hit the ground running" a year ago, and haven't slowed down long enough to celebrate their new business.  They offer residential and commercial real estate, as well as farms and land; and serve buyers and sellers throughout Cullman County, plus a few outlying communities just across county lines.

On Monday afternoon, they finally paused for the real estate agency's official ribbon cutting for their office at 103 Third St. SW.  Representatives from the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce were present, as well as Cullman Mayor Woody Jacobs.

Often, ribbon cuttings don't include discussion of how business is going, but after a year, Cullman Elite already knows.  Martinez said, "Business is good; the market in Cullman is really good.  We're still in recovery from the downfall that everybody experienced, but market prices are good, interest rates are good."

This is not a new thing for either owner.  Both spent time working for Coldwell Banker Realty before deciding to step out on their own.  Both are Cullman natives, familiar with the community and market.

According to Martinez, "We're both seasoned agents; together, we have over 30 years’ experience in the real estate market.  We're here to serve the Cullman area.  We wanted to give back to the community, be very involved in the community; and we were limited a little bit where we were at.  We opened up our own, just to give us some freedom."

Cullman Elite is proud of their efforts to incorporate state of the art technology into their approach to realty.  Martinez said, "We do aerial photography for all of our listings.  We have a drone; we have people who use it to do aerial photography.  We do videos inside and outside of the house, and use those on Facebook and YouTube and different marketing areas, which is something nobody here is doing.  We do billboard advertising, which nobody else in this market is doing.  We want to be on the cutting edge of technology, and do some things that's a little bit different from the normal real estate market."

Despite high-tech gadgetry and social media activity, Martinez was careful to note that their business model still centers on customers instead of gimmicks. "We're basically full service; we do it all.  We're both full-time agents, all we do is real estate.  We eat, sleep and breathe it!  We treat our clients like friends and family.  We really take care of them, and look out for their best interests.  We pride ourselves on treating people the way we want to be treated.  We take our clients to heart.  It's not just a business to us."
