Cullman 4-H Shotgun Team collects medals at state tournament

CHILDERSBURG – Cullman’s 4-H shotgun team competed in the state tournament in Childersburg in April and several members posted very impressive results. Hayden Faulk, one of the coaches of the team, was impressed at the state tournament and happy with how his team performed this season.

“They did great this year and have improved tremendously during the year.” Faulk said.

East Elementary’s Cole Burnham won first place in the individual skeet competition in the Jr. Division, posting a score of 42/50. The team of Burnham, Jackson Metrock, Gage Howard and Evan Dockery took first place in the team skeet in the Jr. Division after posting a score of 119/200.

Gage Howard from Cullman Middle School grabbed first place in the individual trap competition in the Jr. Division with a score of 46/50. In the team trap in the Jr. Division, the team of Howard, Burnham, Dockery and John Ballew Jr. took home second place with a score of 125/200. 

Burnham won first place HOA in the Jr. Division with a score of 113. The team of Burnham, Howard, Dockery, Metrock and Ballew Jr. won second place HOA in the Jr. Division after posting a combined score of 309 and in the senior division, the team of A.J. Coffey, Wyatt Jones, Alexus Buckelew and Lane Parker took third place in the team trap with a score of 132/200.
