CULLMAN – The Pilot Club of Cullman will host its spring 2016 charity fundraiser, Professional Women's Fashion Show and Luncheon: “Dancing in the Street,” on Wednesday, April 27 at the Cullman Civic Center. The event will be “a way of celebrating Administrative Professional’s Day.”

Doors will open at 11 a.m. so attendees can shop the booths set up by area businesses. Boxed lunches provided by Sweet Peppers Deli will be served at 11:30 a.m., with a fashion show beginning soon thereafter. Door prizes will be given away during the show.

The Cullman Pilot Club focuses its energy on community awareness and prevention of brain-related disorders. They also support those who are living with the disorders, as well as their caregivers. They ladies work together as a team to make the world around them a much better place. The bond they share in helping their communities also works to create long-lasting friendships.

“The women in this club are single, married, all ages, business owners, stay-at-home moms, professional women, retirees,” said Nan S. Auston, vice president, “all with big hearts and generous natures, with one purpose in mind-to give help to people who cannot help themselves.”

The Pilot Club of Cullman supports the Pilot Light Home, the Margaret Jean Jones Center, the Field of Miracles, Special Olympics, Alzheimer’s Disease support groups, BrainMinders and Project Lifesaver.

“We fund these projects with various fundraisers throughout the year,” Auston continued. “We sell pecans every fall, we help with information and parking at the annual national archery tournament at St. Bernard and we hold an annual rummage sale at the Cullman Fairgrounds in the Lion's Club building. The upcoming Professional Women's Fashion Show and Luncheon is also a big fundraiser for us.”

Tickets for the event are $20 and can be purchased at the Cullman County Museum, Cullman Civic Center or Doug Doggett Jewelers.
